"We touch other people's lives simply by existing." - J.K. Rowling
As a young journalist, I am fascinated by opportunities where I can use multimedia to enhance a story. Although writing is my main method of storytelling, I think a journalist should be able to cross barriers and use as many platforms as possible. My role as a multimedia journalist expanded at The Post-Crescent, where my role as a breaking news reporter and an emphasis on digital media pushed me to create more videos than previous work. Below are a few examples of videos I've made, from breaking news coverage to more in-depth feature projects, as well as media appearances in Chicago.
MEDIA APPEARANCES
June 2017: Fellow DNAinfo reporter Linze Rice and I discuss our interactive map featuring more than 150 LGBTQ-owned businesses in Chicago.
|
November 2016: After the Cubs won the World Series for the first time in 108 years, I appeared on ESPN to talk about the hundreds of messages of love and support that Cubs fans left on the brick walls of Wrigley Field.
|
June 2016: Following the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida, "Now.Chicago" host Jon Hansen and I reflect on Chicago's Pride Parade.
