I guess my love for design stems from working with my mom on scrapbook pages as a teen. There was something to the beauty in the details, the precision — making everything fit just so — that I really loved. During my 2010 summer internship at Dayton Daily News, I had the opportunity to learn about newspaper design from a pro, who taught me how important it was to do the job right. Since then, I've designed pages for The News Record and done a few other design projects as well.
